Learning to play the piano should be enjoyable, energetic and encouraging.
Lessons are customized to each student's age and learning style.
STUDIO POLICIES
Weekly private lessons are offered in 60 minute sessions. 45 minute lessons are available for younger students if desired. Students are expected to arrive on time for lessons with their music in hand. Students are encouraged to practice daily on a well maintained piano or keyboard. Participating in the MTAC programs (CM tests, recitals, festivals) is strongly encouraged but not required.
Lesson cancellations require a 24 hour notice.

LESSON STRUCTURE
Each lesson is structured to include the following:
* Technique: scales, exercises
Use of Method Books: for sight reading and the basics
Classical repertoire: from various historical periods with the goal to polish and sometimes perform in student recitals and music events
Theory: including the use of workbooks
Improvisation and Composition
